We
need to support ourselves and each other first before we can expect anyone else to respect and / or support us. Welcome my family. We need to give ourselves reparations regardless if the people that owes us reparations gives us reparations or not. Ask yourself, what are you able to provide to your community free of charge to begin with that will help heal your community before you ask your community to pay for your products and / or services. I am an addicted giver, meaning I live to give simply because it makes me feels good and I know whatever physical possessions I have in this life I cannot take it with me in my next life and whatever information I possess is only useful if I live it and share it. Daily Practices for Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, and Physical Well-being

When many people think of health, they only consider their physical bodies. If you want a vibrant, healthy life, be sure to pay attention to your spiritual, mental, and emotional bodies, too. Here you can learn how.

Most people link health exclusively to the physical body. While the physical body is important, when we only associate health with our physical body, we fail to recognize other factors that contribute to our overall well-being.

Most ancient cultures pointed to a connection between body, mind, and spirit and recognized that each composed a part of the whole. Now, integrative medicine and health psychology are beginning to recognize that health is influenced not only by the physical body but the spiritual, mental, and emotional bodies, too. Your health is dependent on all four facets, as opposed to just one of the four. The physical body is affected by our emotions, our thoughts direct how we feel, and our energy level sways our mind and our thoughts. Let’s get more specific on the details of each body and the practices you can follow to maintain their health.

The Spiritual Body

The spiritual body is your connection to energy. For some, this may be more closely tied to religion than spirituality. For others, it could have more to do with the quantum energy that science refers to. Whichever way you choose to view the source of your energy is perfect.

Energy trickles down from the spiritual body, from source, or the universe and first enters into the mental body. To fully access the spiritual aspect of your being, maintain a daily practice that keeps this connection open. If a blockage occurs, energy and information are unable to flow freely from the spiritual body down through the mental, emotional, and physical bodies. This is why a daily spiritual or religious practice is so important to maintain this open connection. To be in a state of harmony between each of the layers of our being, we need to develop our intuition and spirituality as much as we do our mind, emotions, and muscles to create a solid physical foundation.

Practices for the Spiritual Body:

  • Practice meditation daily
  • Learn to work with energy (through practices such as Huna, Reiki, chi gong, kung fu and acupuncture) as a way to keep the energy channels open
  • Study Spiritual Enlightenment
  • Attend a silent retreat to deepen your connection to Self
  • Pray

The Mental Body

On a surface level, the mental body is your thoughts. On a deeper level, it is the domain of your beliefs, desires, values, and goals. Beliefs are opinions and convictions that we hold as being true without having immediate proof. Values represent what we hold internally as most important in an area of life. Values and beliefs can come from thoughts that were formed very early in childhood.

We all have desires to achieve or acquire something in our lives, which is why we set goals and intentions to help us get where we want to go. Some surface-level thoughts, which may create goals or desires, direct our mental focus from moment to moment. This is how our logical, linear minds learn and operate, and it is one of the aspects of ourselves that is most familiar to us.

As energy flows down from the mental body into the emotional body, it can bump into stored baggage from the past and create some turbulence. Stored baggage can come from past fears, which can project into the future and cause anxiety. Or, it can come from experiencing a lot of anger or resentment toward someone, which can cause anger or resentment later in life when familiar conditions repeat. You may even develop negative beliefs about people.

Practices for the Mental Body:

  • Set goals
  • Get a coach or mentor to keep you focused on your goals
  • Daily Recapitulation
  • Continue your education (e.g., read books or take classes on mental health)
  • Eliminate stressors from your life

The Emotional Body

Your emotional body is comprised of all your past, present, and future emotional experiences. It is the aspect of us that houses emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt, resentment, jealousy, and shame. Whenever we have an experience, it generates feelings that are associated with past similar experiences, and we develop a label to identify the emotion. Emotions and memories are categorized and stored, and they influence how we respond to experiences in the moment.

As energy flows down from the mental body into the emotional body, it can bump into stored baggage from the past and create some turbulence. Stored baggage can come from past fears, which can project into the future and cause anxiety. Or, it can come from experiencing a lot of anger or resentment toward someone, which can cause anger or resentment later in life when the same thing happens with a different person. You may even develop a belief that all people are this way.

When there is excess baggage, thoughts from the mental body will generate emotional stress that trickle down and affect the physical body. A person with overwhelming stress will, at some point, experience physical symptoms because of the mind-body connection. According to an article published by Harvard, research shows that negative emotions can harm the body and happiness is linked to overall physical well-being.

This is why it is imperative to develop emotional intelligence and to adopt practices to have a more positive outlook on life, both mentally and emotionally. When our thoughts are more optimistic, our emotional states will be more positive, and when our emotional states are balanced, our physical bodies will be healthier.

Practices for the Emotional Body:

The Physical Body

Your physical body is the reflection and total sum of all aspects of who you are. It is a barometer that indicates how things are going in all areas, and it also provides the musculoskeletal structure and vital tissues and organs that carry you through this life.

Exercise and healthy eating are typically what come to mind when most people think about physical health. However, your exercise of choice isn’t the only thing to consider when striving for good physical health. We all know people who have clean eating habits and are physically fit, but who carry excessive mental and emotional stress, which can wear on their health. While it may not be immediately recognizable, chronic stress takes a tremendous toll on the physical body. Stress occurs when our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical needs are not being met. Stress triggers the fight-flight response, which is a survival mechanism that is hard-wired into our DNA. It is how our physiology prepares to respond to potentially life-threatening events. When this response is triggered repeatedly it creates wear and tear on the physical body.

Health is much more than just the absence of disease. True health comes when we are able to create harmony between each of the four bodies. Our physical body is our foundation in this life. It is what everything else is built upon. But, it is equally important to exercise each of the other three bodies on a regular basis as well. We need to establish our own individual health, fitness, and wellness regimens. Fortunately, integrative medicine and integrative psychology are both on board with this and many healthcare systems are beginning to incorporate options that support this.

Practices for the Physical Body:

  • Move your body (practice strengthening, cardio, stretching and balancing exercises)
  • Prepare fresh, organic alkaline vegan meals [preferably 80% or more raw] and pre-plan for healthy away-from-home snacks
  • Get plenty of restful sleep
  • Receive regular massages, colon cleansing herbs, enemas and / or colonic irrigations with periodic fasting & cleansing
  • Spend time in nature

Taking time to carefully tend to ourselves as a whole can open energy channels. These open, clear connections create a spiritually connected, mentally stimulated, emotionally centered, vibrant life. We are all seeking more happiness, connection, joy, health, and fulfillment. Finding ways to exercise each of your four bodies regularly will help you to cultivate more of what you seek.

7 ways to be happier right now.

Dr. Natural 718-783-3465

Join www.templeofillumination.ning.com

Let’s start with some bad news.

The happiness model we’re taught from a young age is actually completely backward. We think we work hard in order to achieve big success and then we’re happy. That’s how I grew up! That’s what my parents taught me.

We think the scribble goes like this:

Study hard!  Straight A’s!  Be happy!

Interview lots!  Great job!  Be happy!

Work overtime!  Get promoted!  Be happy!

But it doesn’t work like that in real life. That model is broken.

We do great work, have a big success, but instead of being happy, we just set new goals. Now we study for the next job, the next degree, the next promotion. Why stop at a college degree when you can get a master’s? Why stop at Director when you can be VP? Why stop at one house when you can have two? We never get to happiness. We just always push it further and further away.

Now what happens when we snap “Be happy” off the end of this scribble and stick it on the beginning? Then these important six words look like this:

Now everything changes. Everything changes. If we start with being happy, then we feel great. We look great. We exercise. We connect. What happens? We end up doing great work because we feel great doing it. What does great work lead to? Big success. Massive feelings of accomplishment and the resulting degrees, promotions, and phone calls from your mom telling you she’s proud of you.

Harvard Business Review reported the results of a famous positive psychology study that shows happy people are 31% more productive, have 37% higher sales, and are three times more creative than their counterparts.

So what’s the first thing you must do before you can be happy?

Be happy.

Be happy first.

Being happy opens up your learning centers. Your brain will light up like Manhattan skyscrapers at dusk, sparkle like diamonds under jewelry store lights, glow like stars in the black sky above a farmer’s field.

American philosopher William James says, “The greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude.”

The Happiness Advantage author Shawn Achor says, “It’s not necessarily the reality that shapes us but the lens through which your brain views the world that shapes your reality.”

William Shakespeare says, “For there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

Now, it’s one thing to say “Be happy, everybody!” and leave it there.

But we all know it’s not that easy.

Why not? Because our brains get focused on negative things. We can’t stop! I do this all the time. And you want to know what? Everybody does. Every single person gets stuck focusing on the negative sometimes. I’ve spoken on stages with the best-known motivational speakers, Fortune 500 CEOs, and political leaders from around the world. Do you know what they’re all doing backstage? Freaking out. Sweating. Thinking something might go wrong.

The problem isn’t that we get stuck focused on the negative sometimes.

The problem is that we think we shouldn’t.

And that prevents us from taking action.

Action? That’s right. I’m talking about intentional activities. Studies show these happiness hits work like little happiness hacks that slowly shift our brain to becoming positive focused.

I’ve spent years sifting through hundreds of positive psychology studies to find what I call The Big Seven ways to train your brain to be happy. Let’s break it down:

Three Walks

Penn State researchers reported in the Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology that the more physically active people are, the greater their general feelings of excitement and enthusiasm. How much? Just half an hour of brisk walking three times a week. The American Psychosomatic Society published a study showing how Michael Babyak and a team of doctors found that three thirty-minute brisk walks or jogs even improve recovery from clinical depression. Yes, clinical depression. Results were stronger than studies using medication or studies using exercise and medication combined.

The 20-Minute Replay

Writing for twenty minutes about a positive experience dramatically improves happiness. Why? Because you actually relive the experience as you’re writing it and then relive it every time you read it. Your brain sends you back. In a University of Texas study called “How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Words,” researchers Richard Slatcher and James Pennebaker had one member of a couple write about their relationship for twenty minutes three times a day. Compared to the test group, the couple was more likely to engage in intimate dialogue afterward and the relationship was more likely to last. What does the 20-Minute Replay do? It helps us remember things we like about people and experiences in our lives.

Random Acts Of Kindness

Carrying out five random acts of kindness a week dramatically improves your happiness. We don’t naturally think about paying for someone’s coffee, mowing our neighbor’s lawn, or writing a thank-you note to our apartment building security guard at Christmas. But Sonja Lyubomirsky did a study asking Stanford students to perform five random acts of kindness over a week. Not surprisingly, they reported much higher happiness levels than the test group. Why? They felt good about themselves! People appreciated them.

A Complete Unplug

“The richest, happiest and most productive lives are characterized by the ability to fully engage in the challenge at hand, but also to disengage periodically and seek renewal,” say Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz in The Power of Full Engagement. And a Kansas State University study found that complete downtime after work helps us recharge for the next day. Turning your phone off after dinner. Not using the Internet on vacation. There’s a lot more to this, and I go deep on this one in Secret #6 The Secret To Never Being Too Busy Again in The Happiness Equation.

Hit Flow

Get into a groove. Be in the zone. Find your flow. However you characterize it, when you’re completely absorbed with what you’re doing, it means you’re being challenged and demonstrating skill at the same time. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi describes this moment as “being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz. Your whole being is involved, and you’re using your skills to the utmost.” Do you get that from playing drums? Lifting weights? Taking pictures? In his fantastic book Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience, he describes it using an image I’ve redrawn here:

2 Minute Meditations

A research team from Massachusetts General Hospital looked at brain scans of people before and after they participated in a course on mindfulness meditation and published the results in Psychiatry Research. What happened? After the course, parts of the brain associated with compassion and self-awareness grew while parts associated with stress shrank. Studies report that meditation can “permanently rewire” your brain to raise levels of happiness. Too new age for you? That’s what I thought. Then I downloaded the Headspace app – which I have no affiliation with — and it was the perfect meditation gateway drug. Now I’m hooked. And it helps me prioritize and simplify my day.

Five Gratitudes

Remember this: If you can be happy with simple things, then it will be simple to be happy. Find a book or a journal, or start a website, and write down three to five things you’re grateful for from the past week. The key is actually writing them down! I wrote five a week on my blog 1000 Awesome Things. Some people write in a notebook by their bedside. Back in 2003, researchers Robert Emmons and Michael McCullough asked groups of students to write down five gratitudes, hassles, or events over the past week for ten weeks. Guess what happened? The students who wrote five gratitudes were happier and physically healthier. Charles Dickens puts this well: “Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has many, not your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”

So those are the Big 7.

You know it’s important to be happy first, and these are the seven ways to get there.

Remember: Just like driving a car, throwing a football, or doing a headstand—you can learn to be happier.

Happy people don’t have the best of everything.

They make the best of everything.

Be happy first.

Neil Pasricha is Director of The Institute for Global Happiness and New York Times bestselling-author of the The Happiness Equation, a 300-page letter he wrote to his unborn son, which shares the nine step-by-step secrets to happiness.

Reasons why everyone should do our

Mucoid Plaque Cleanse.

Dr. Natural 718-783-3465

Join www.templeofillumination.ning.com ;

What Is Mucoid Plaque?

Mucoid plaque builds up in the digestive system, and is comprised of layers of dried mucousbacteriafungi and undigested food debris. It occurs because of the continued consumption of overly acid forming foods such as meat, dairy, salt, sugar, refined flours, cooked oils, alcohol, coffee, drugs and toxic residues such as pesticides and environmental pollutants.

Mucoid plaque also can build up in bowel pockets, where the colon has lost it's shape, and also give rise to polyps which are filled with parasites as seen below.

Polyp filled with mucoid plaque and parasites

Do Enemas Work?

Enemas can help to loosen and remove mucoid plaque from the large intestine, but not the small intestine, which is actually where most of it resides. The reason an enema cannot remove it from the small intestine is because the ileocecal valve does not allows the water to go past.

Our Mucoid Plaque Cleanse

So to effectively remove mucoid plaque from the entire digestive system it is required to consume special bitter herbs that help to stimulate the colon and liver and also dissolve the plaque, and to drink psyllium husks mixed with bentonite in a shake. The bentonite in the shake helps to bind the loosened mucoid material and pull it out of the colon, and the psyllium husk acts as an effective bulking agent to bulk out the mixture and eliminate hunger while on the program.

Our Bowel Detox kit is designed to effectively remove mucoid plaque, and is made from  the strongest wild crafted and certified organic herbs available. The clay used was found to be the most effective and pleasant to consume. The psyllium husk is certified organic.

Below is some pictures of mucoid plaque removed on our cleanse by customers who were using our Bowel Detox kit for the first time.

What are Healing Circles?

  • Healing Circles help us step out of ordinary time into a safe and accepting environment in which to explore our healing.
  • With open minds, we explore together ways of deepening our capacity to heal, alleviating our suffering, and finding meaning in both challenge and joy.
  • With open hearts, we access our own inner guidance to understand where the greatest healing—in body, emotions, mind and spirit—can occur.

What agreements protect a circle?

  • We treat each other with kindness and respect.
  • We listen with compassion and curiosity.
  • We honor each other’s unique ways to healing and don’t presume to advise or fix or try to save each other
  • We hold all stories shared in the Circle confidential.
  • We trust each of us has guidance we need within us and we rely on the power of silence to access it.

What are the practices of a Healing Circle?

  • Listen with attention.
  • Speak with intention.
  • Tend to the well-being of the whole Healing Circle.

What are the Circle roles?

  • Every member of the circle has an equal voice and is responsible for the leadership of their own healing.
  • 3 roles can help the circle flow smoothly:
    • The Host convenes and pays attention to flow of the circle.
    • The Guardian watches time, holds the bell, and protects the agreements.
    • A scribe can keep notes if the circle chooses.
  • When a Circle has done its work, the Host should know how and when to end the Circle well.

How do I prepare to host a Healing Circle?

  • Create a beautiful welcoming space—clean, well-lit, comfortable chairs
  • Create a center for the Circle – candle, flowers, or shared object.
  • Allow a time for social interaction—refreshments, warm welcome, casual conversation
  • Create a smooth transition from welcoming time to Circle time.

What’s a simple, sample Healing Circle?

  • Entering the Circle – silence, candle, and optional (poem, music, etc.)
  • Check in/Heart sharing – talking stick mode – can be more than one round
  • Harvesting/Learning – learn from collective wisdom in room or outside resources; can be done in conversational mode.
  • Close/ Leaving the Circle
  • Note: Importance of social time before and after Circle

What are Healing Circles?

Healing Circles help us step out of ordinary time into a safe and accepting environment in which to explore our healing.

We treat each other with kindness and respect.

Listen with attention.

  • Speak with intention.
  • Tend to the well-being of the whole Healing Circle.
What are the Circle roles?  Every member of the circle has an equal voice and is responsible for the leadership of their own healing.

Create a beautiful welcoming space—clean, well-lit, comfortable chairs

  • Create a center for the Circle – candle, flowers, or shared object.
  • Allow a time for social interaction—refreshments, warm welcome, casual conversation
  • Create a smooth transition from welcoming time to Circle time.
What’s a simple, sample Healing Circle?  Entering the Circle – silence, candle, and optional (poem, music, etc.)

  • Check in/Heart sharing – talking stick mode – can be more than one round
  • Harvesting/Learning – learn from collective wisdom in room or outside resources; can be done in conversational mode.
  • Close/ Leaving the Circle
  • Note: Importance of social time before and after Circle
What are other types of Healing Circles?  Healing Circles are safe environments for those with a common condition to share their experiences and harvest collective wisdom.

  • Discovery Circles are for those who like to process whatever they are facing through a specific form of creative expression.
  • Learning Circles are for those who share an interest in a topic or wish to develop a healing skill.
  • Caring Circles support those who care for others, including family, friends, professionals, and volunteers.
How do we deepen our Circle work?  By creative expression – Examples: Ritual, art, poetry, music, and movement

  • By addressing soul questions – Examples: Meaning & purpose, grief, fear, and uncertainty
  • By energy work – Examples: Healing touch, healing intention, and sensitivities to subtle energies
  • Deepening our own personal work – Examples: Love, trust, compassion, and gratitude.
  • By humor and laughter
