WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS ?

I have many interests. Yoga, Holistic Health, Meditation and Spirituality. But, my current interest is my HEALTH! Because I am of Latin heritage I was accustomed to thinking that rice, beans, and fried pork chops was what my body needed for nourishment. If rice and beans wasn't included in a meal then it wasn't a nutritious and healthy meal. Boy was I wrong. This has lead me into a journey to discovering everything RAW foods has to offer my body, mind and soul. Now a 95% RAWist (I'm having a very hard time with giving up my raw fish) I am leading a cleaner and healthier lifestyle that is not only benefitting me but the rest of my family.

About Me:

I was born and raised in ol'glorious Brooklyn NY. I am the first of four daughters birthed to a humble first generation Puerto Rican immigrant couple whom settled in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn. My father, a hard working contractor found his calling in the design industry framing and cutting wood ply's into kitchen cabinets. Now a retiree he entertains me with new fresh idea's and how to "make the cuts" as he calls it. Love you daddy! My mother (whom I was named after) started early in the factory "sweatshop" form of work. Working sometimes 15-18 hour days she would come home so tired that she sometimes sat on the sofa as she walked in and would just pass out! I guess that's who I take after. Well, it all worked out for her. In the mid 80's she was approached by a well known lady (who'm we will call Bonnie C) and was offered a job creating beautiful window textiles displays for Macy's. Need I say anything about my families financial ease after that? I take after my parent's. They are whom I look up to. They are the mirror I look into everyday. WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS DO YOU DESIRE TO START ?

A graduate of Brooklyn Tech high school and an Alumni of F.I.T College I now own and operate an Architectural Woodworking company alongside my husband of 6 years. Now a successful company although with this economy I am looking into the restaurant business. I live in Queens now and there is little to none businesses who cater to STRICTLY Organic produce let alone RAWist foods. There is a large demand for this lifestyle her in Queens and since the new movement to awaken people's eye's from the damage that is being created by eating cooked foods I think that Queens is ready for the RAWvoLution!
