WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS IN LIFE ?
Doing what I am passionate about, daily is a blessing. I love creating fine art: portraits, landscapes, documentary, photojournalism, and street photography projects. Anything in the field, on the move, spontaneous and not pre-planned, I find to be the most exciting explorations. I am currently combining my writing, with more digital and video explorations along with my darkroom knowledge. I am constantly working to re-create the memory of a moment or time in my life, defining and question what that memory represents in my experience, both past and present, as I broaden my viewpoint, and strengthening my skills each project I take. The main explorations I often echo in my works is; culture and ancestry within my travels. Majority of my documentation often feature different parts of the African Diaspora, as well as landscapes, architecture and portraits using still or moving images. I intend to expand my research to explore the binding themes in our everyday life, such as; Religion, race, culture, class, history, trades, geography, the arts, and the roles we play in adapting as well as learning how to survive and be sustained in whatever environments we are subjected to by our circumstances. Taking on the five W's, is becoming a strong point of interest in my explorations. However, most important to note about my works, is that I am always being inspired by this beautiful world, and all life forms that God has created.
